Thais Winkleblack began her career as a community banker with MidWestOne Bank in 1998. She helped to create the Private Banking Department at MidWestOne Bank in 2005. Her work in wealth management often focuses on the practicalities of financial planning and the complexities of family relationships, and how to bring continuity to these two important facets of our lives. She excels at project management and uses her expertise to help individuals and organizations identify their goals and create a plan to meet them. She is a graduate of the Iowa School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado; she holds a B.A. in Russian from Grinnell College. She is passionate about the community in which she lives and works and is involved in a number of area organizations. Some highlights of her community engagement are: Past President of the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council, Past President of the Iowa City Noon Rotary Club, Past Chair of Women Build (Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity) for two consecutive years, and a founding member of the Executive Council of 5224Good--a learning and giving circle in Johnson County. -

Kevin Werner began his community banking career in 1986. He joined MidWestOne Bank in 2000. He interacts with all areas of the bank including commercial lending, mortgage lending, consumer lending and investment services. Kevin’s focus is building long-term relationships with his clients. He is a graduate of the Iowa Consumer Credit School, the Iowa School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado; he earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Iowa. Kevin is a lifelong resident of Iowa City and has served on many nonprofit boards in our community. He is a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club and an avid Hawkeye, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers. -

Christy Fehlberg began her community banking career in 1990 and joined MidWestOne Bank in 1999. After a long career in mortgage lending Christy rejoined MidWestOne Bank in 2017 as an addition to the Private Banking team. As an Iowa City native, Christy has built many long-term relationships in the area and has a solutions-based approach to financial planning for our clients. Christy is a University of Iowa graduate with a B.A. in Communications Studies. She currently serves as Vice Chair on the Table to Table Board, a member of the Iowa City Noon Rotary and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the American Heart Association Go Red for Women as well as being active in many Chamber and community events. Christy is Past President of the Iowa City Community School District Foundation and a past Board member of the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Board, the City of Iowa City Housing Authority Board and for many years served as the West High School, Northwest and North Central PSTO Treasurer. She enjoys providing exceptional concierge service and planning for clients and their families. -

Andrew rejoined MidWestOne in 2019 and gives operational and customer service support for the Private Banking group. Previously, Andrew worked in the bank’s Service Center going back to 2006. His desire to help individuals includes a collective 9 years of living in China where he studied Mandarin, taught English and did community development projects in rural villages. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Anthropology and received a M.B.A. in International Development from Hope International University.
