Simply Safer Banking

New COVID-19 Lobby Procedures

Updated: 1/4/2021

MidWestOne Bank has activated a business continuity plan to protect our customers, our employees, and our communities from risk of the Coronavirus.

We are paying close attention to the recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control, national, state, and local officials. As events unfold, we will take necessary steps to protect the health of our customers and employees. Lobby and Drive-Thru hours at various locations may be limited and changing as we reopen to safely accommodate the COVID-19 “new normal”.

The first hour of service each day will be reserved for customers age 60 and better, and those who are at-risk.

For the safety of our customers and employees, please remember to observe our COVID-19 safety procedures, which requires face masks to be worn when visiting us inside any branch location. If you are unable to do so, we are happy to assist you in our drive-thru where available.

Please review the following guidance before you enter our facilities:

  1. Consider your need. Can you accomplish your goal through online banking, drive-through banking, e-mail, or over the phone?
  2. Self-monitor your health. If you have or had symptoms of COVID-19, please do not enter the bank. Call us at 800-247-4418 to arrange an alternate means to transact your banking.
  3. Our lobbies and bankers are available by appointment. Seating in waiting areas may have been removed or limited to protect our customers.
  4. For your protection, our bankers will wear cloth face masks and will not shake hands.
  5. Please prepare your deposit, withdrawal, and other documents before you enter the bank. Check writing stands and associated materials may not be available.
  6. To achieve social distancing standards, we will limit the number of customers and staff in the bank at any time. If at capacity, we will ask you to wait in your car or outside the building until we can ensure safe distances.
  7. Since the number of people able to enter is limited ― to the extent possible ― we request one person per party per visit.
  8. Please wear your cloth face mask before you enter the building. This is required. You may be asked to pause and temporarily drop your mask to identify yourself to bankers and/or security cameras. If you are unable to wear a face mask, we are happy to assist you in our drive-thru where available.
  9. Follow the directional signs that will guide the flow of people entering and exiting the building to maintain safe social distance. These may be at eye level and on the floor.
  10. Keep six feet of distance between you and anyone you may encounter, including bankers and others.
  11. As you enter the building, please pause to apply hand sanitizer. Approach bankers as invited to maintain social distance.
  12. Tellers and others may have clear plastic barriers in place to mitigate potential viral spread through eyes, nose, and mouth particulates.
  13. If you need to access your safe deposit box, additional considerations may be applied to accommodate the small size of the vault and viewing area.

If you are experiencing financial hardships related to COVID-19, please contact your banker for assistance.

MidWestOne is devoting significant resources to stay on top of this emerging situation to keep you and our employees informed and prepared. Together, we’ll do everything we can to meet this unprecedented challenge.

Temporary Branch Hours Changes

Due to a recent increase in COVID-19 cases in many communities we serve, some MidWestOne offices may have limited lobby access or temporary adjusted hours.  Visit our locations page to learn more.

Important Safety Guidelines

  1. Please disinfect your hands.
  2. All customers and staff must wear cloth masks in public areas.
  3. At the Service Line you will be asked to briefly pull your mask down for identification purposes.
  4. Please maintain a six-foot distance at all times.
  5. To maintain safe social distances we may need to limit the number of people in our lobby at one time.

Not feeling well?

If you have symptoms now or in the last 24 hours, including cough or fever, please do not enter the lobby.

You may use our drive thru, online and mobile banking, or Zelle® person-to-person payment service.
